Our 2025 Highlights!
What a year full of fun, fundraisers and the beach at its best! 2025 was the first full year of Charlie’s Beach School, and we welcomed thousands of children through our doors.
We introduced weekly Beach Babes sessions for 0–12 month olds, doubled our Starfish Explorers sessions to five a week, and ran SEND sessions, which will double to four per week from January 2025. We also host a weekly session for a local school and welcomed many schools from Exmouth, Exeter and Tiverton for free beach sessions covering plastic pollution, beach cleans, art and rockpooling — including one day in May when 200 children attended from a local school!
June saw our first year of participation in the Sideshore Project, with 1,000 children helping create a giant hermit crab shell from washed-up materials, later showcased at the Exmouth Festival 🦀
Our community has been incredible. Olly Westray’s 100km run from Dartmouth to Exmouth and Nic Mullens’ 100-mile South West Coastal Walk brought so many people together to run, walk and cheer along the way, creating a truly special sense of community around the beach school. Alongside Joey Cox’s remarkable kayak across Antarctica, these challenges raised over £50,000, and we are so grateful to everyone involved 💙
As a charity, we are committed to keeping Charlie’s legacy alive and sharing his love of the beach with children and the wider community. Thank you for helping us make this possible, exciting things are coming in 2026! 🌊✨
